Do you love the thrill of solving a problem and spending time in the crisp fall air? These 10 farms around the U.S. host yearly festivals filled with huge corn mazes where guests can get lost and try to piece together puzzles to find their way out. Families and maze goers can enjoy challenging labyrinths or spending time on hayrides, picking pumpkins and making friends with barnyard animals.

1. The Farmstead Corn Maze & Pumpkin Festival | Meridian, Idaho

Idaho's original corn maze, the Farmstead MAiZE, gets carved across an 18-acre cornfield into a new design each year. This year's maze theme is "Never Grow Up" and there's an easier Kiddie Corn Maze for the little ones. Along with mazes, there's a pumpkin patch, hayrides and a host of family-friendly games and activities including this year's newly added small zip line and catch-and-release fishing pond. September 25-October 31. 

2. Great Vermont Corn Maze | Danville, Vt.

Located on a third-generation family dairy farm, the Great Vermont Corn Maze will celebrate its 16th year with two new corn mazes filled with twists, turns and new surprises. The big maze takes the average adult about 2 hours to complete while the smaller Scenic Maze, recommended for adults with children or first-time maze goers, takes an average of 30 or 40 minutes. In addition, there is "Barnyard Golf" and a kid's play village complete with petting zoo. July 25-October 18.

3. McCall's Pumpkin Patch | Moriarty, N.M.

The family-owned and operated McCall Land & Cattle Co. has been hosting a family-oriented pumpkin patch and festival on their 320 acres for the past 17 years with great success. The farm has seen over 80,000 annual visitors from 46 states and 5 continents. Along with a 16-acre corn maze, the farm has a petting zoo, hayrides, pig races, fossil digs and a new princess play castle. September 26 - November 1.

4. Cherry Crest Adventure Farm | Lancaster, Pa.

The 5-acre corn maze at Cherry Crest Adventure Farm has 2.5 miles of paths and bridges, with clues scattered throughout to help maze-goers find the quick way out. This year's maze theme, "20 Years of Trails and Rails" pays homage to the Strasburg Rail Road Steam Train that runs through the property, as well as to the 20th anniversary of the corn maze. There are three levels of play including easy, intermediate, or advanced for players who want to find the Kernels of Knowledge and hidden puzzle pieces to complete the map. September 18 - November 7.  

5. Frederica Mesa Farm Fall Festival | Avondale, Colo.

Located near Avondale, southeast of Colorado Springs, this is the second go-around for the Frederika Fall Festival. This year's corn maze is an ode to their hometown university and NCAA Division II football champions, the Colorado State University Thunderwolves. They've also added a corn cannon and expanded the children's play area. Guests winding their way through the maze can enjoy views of Pike's Peak, and in the evenings, beautiful Colorado sunsets. September 25 - November 1.

6. Scott’s Maze | Mt. Dora, Fla.

Scott's Maze at Long & Scott Farms near Orlando occupies a 7-acre cornfield, and visitors who brave getting lost in the maze will have to answer questions, solve puzzles and take picture rubbings to help find their way out. This year's theme is a "Salute to Our Armed Forces" and new to the farm is a toddler playground and rope maze. October 3 -December 13.

7. Sever’s Corn Maze & Fall Festival | Twin Cities, Minn.

For nineteen years, Twin Cities families have been flocking to Sever's Corn Maze & Fall Festival to solve the Corn Maze Challenge. This year's theme is dedicated to firefighters and they have new attractions including a Gourd Walk, zip lines, and new show called "Monkey Business with Frankie the Monkey." September 11 - November 1.

8. Treinen Farm Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch | Lodi, Wis.

Each fall, Angie Treinen of Treinen Farm designs a new corn maze and her husband Alan cuts it into the cornfield by hand ... no GPS! This year's maze is based on the Aesop's Fable, "The Fox and the Grapes." Along with a new theme, they also added a new natural play area for kids made from logs, boulders and re-purposed materials. Visitors persistent enough to find all the maze's secret locations get a prize at the end. September 5-November 15.

9. Cool Patch Pumpkins | Dixon, Calif.

Named the largest maze in the world by Guinness World Records in 2014, this year's Cool Patch Pumpkins corn maze will be 44 acres large and feature a 3.5-acre Sacramento Kings logo. It takes most maze-goers an average of 90 minutes to complete the entire maze. Along with the regular corn labyrinth, there will be a grass maze for children, hayrides, pedal cars and even a Corn Bath quicksand pit. September 19-November 1. 

10. Connors Farm | Danvers, Mass.

Located just outside of Boston, the Connors Farm is a working, family-run farm that has been serving the community since 1904. This year's 7-acre corn maze theme is "Wild West" and is filled with symbolism including a jab at the Patriot's "Deflategate" scandal. The farm also hosts a haunted maze, zombie paintball and fun activities for children like face painting and hayrides. September 5-November 1.
