  • Eloise Suite at The Plaza Hotel in New York

    Betsy Johnson, an American designer with a healthy appetite for pink, teamed up with The Plaza Hotel in NYC to bring the world of the fictional character Eloise to life in the resplendent Eloise Suite. Located on the 18th floor, the suite features a signature Plaza chandelier (in pink of course) as well as pink candy striped wall panels.

  • Lac Rose, Senegal

    Lac Rose, also called Lake Retba, in Senegal is one of the world's most unusual lakes. It gets its Pepto-Bismol color from a strain of bacteria attracted to the high salinity of the lake. The pink hue is at its most vibrant from November to June during Senegal's dry season.

  • Castle Menzies in Perthshire, Scotland

    There's nothing pink about Castle Menzies from the outside, but once you step into the Georgian-style main hall of the 400-year-old castle, you'll be surrounded by a sea of pink. So distinctive is the room's color, that it's been nicknamed "The Pink Room" by castle staff.

  • Flamingo Fun at Laguna Colorada in Bolivia

    Bolivia's Laguna Colorada, located some 14,000 feet above sea level, is home to some very rare pink residents, a flock of endangered James's Flamingos. The birds aren't the only pink you'll see either; the lake itself often takes on a pinkish-red hue due to algae and microorganisms living in the water.
