It’s easy to slip into a romantic state of mind in Hong Kong, despite the hustle and bustle of this region. Whether you're about to pop the question or looking to rekindle romance, start by booking a harbour-view room or suite at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.

Allow the concierge to help craft an itinerary geared toward relaxation and time with your special someone. In fact, it's entirely possible to spend a romantic weekend exclusively inside this luxury hotel, centrally located on Hong Kong Island.

Check in to your state-of-the-art room where every necessity awaits. Sip your welcome drink while admiring the careful attention to detail. from automated lights to thoughtful bath amenities. Unpack. Lather yourself in Hermes and soak in a warm bath in preparation for dinner at Pierre, the hotel’s Michelin two-star French restaurant.

Located on the 25th floor, Pierre sports panoramic views over Victoria Harbour. The menu is seasonal, but appetizer offerings might include line-caught seabass carpaccio and guava infusion, artichoke puree with horseradish that you may want to pair with beef tenderloin or duck. Or, try a degustation menu. If you're in the mood for Cantonese, Michelin starred Man Wah is also on the 25th floor. The beef tenderloin dim sum, wrapped in 96 layers of pastry is the must-try menu item. Head back to your room and enjoy the city lights through the floor to ceiling windows. There is no nighttime skyline more beautiful than Hong Kong's.

After a night of rest, pour a cup of in-room coffee, and lounge in bed with the complimentary newspaper delivered to your room via the convenient valet box. Order room service or head downstairs to the famous Clipper Lounge breakfast buffet to enjoy everything from dim sum, fresh pastries, gorgeous fruit to made-to-order omelettes.

Walk off breakfast by shopping in the Mandarin Oriental hotel arcade, Prince's Building shops next door or on the streets of Central. Lunch on the go or at Cafe Causette, but make sure to pick up a bite of cake or chocolate at the Mandarin Cake shop. Marvel at the confectionery masterpieces in the glass display cases.

Arrive at the spa for your appointment early, in order to decompress in the luxurious water-based lounging facilities. The spa, decorated in 1930s Shanghai style, is one of only 30 spas in the world to be awarded five stars by the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide. Treatments are based on ancient concepts infused with modern techniques. Enter your Suite Experience for two where themed massages, facials and scrubs can be performed side-by-side by expert therapists. End the zen experience by sipping tea and refueling with snacks in the spa's tea room. Take advantage of the pool and fitness center, both in the spa area, for a complete wellness experience.

Before dinner, a style and blow out at the hair salon or traditional straight razor shave at the Mandarin Barber are in order, as dining at The Krug Room is one of the world's most elite experiences. Seating up to 12 people, this private dining room lets guests enjoy multiple courses of Chef Uwe's seasonally-prepared, masterfully-presented creations. Courses are often paired with Krug, from the largest collection of Krug champagne outside of France. Channel your last bit of energy to end this once in a lifetime evening with a nightcap at M Bar or just tuck into bed.

Wake up and do it all over again, or perhaps enjoy Hong Kong outside of the hotel with a visit to the Peak, museums or outer islands. Enjoy each other's company, re-energize for the week ahead, and think about booking your next stay.
