    The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (simply known as Jazz Fest) has become an incredibly popular event, featuring 12 different stages showcasing great artists from New Orleans, along with internationally acclaimed stars.  Now in its 43rd year, this event has grown into a two weekend celebration of jazz, funk, rock and many other styles of music.  Music buffs, head to New Orleans April 27-May 6.

    Now in its 5th year, The Charleston International Film Festival, April 11-15, proves to be a unique, hip, glitzy 5 days of fun.  Held at the Sotille Theatre and Cinebarre in Charleston, S.C., over 80 films are shown daily with after parties every night filled with music, live art and a final awards show, honoring the best up and coming new filmmakers.

    Go Green in Dallas, TX!

    Celebrate our planet at Earth Day Dallas April 21-22 in Dallas, TX.  An annual outdoor festival, this event provides education and fun for all with 600 exhibits, a Family Zone, BMX events, live music and dance performances.  Attend a workshop on "going green" or take a yoga class.  Beer and wine sold along with healthy organic concessions, of course.

    Around 300,000 will attend the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester, Virginia the end of this month (starting April 27 and lasting 10 days).  A carnival, circus, concerts, pro-am golf tournament, dancing, fireworks and music are just some of the things you'll find at this popular community event, now in its 84th year.  Wave to Debbie Reynolds, the Grand Marshall of this year's parade and see the crowning of Miss Shenendoah.  Just 75 miles west of Washington, D.C., this rural town will charm you with its homespun fun.

    Grand Cayman Power Trip

    The 10th Annual Ugland Offshore Racing 2012 Million Dollar Run is Grand Cayman's premier boat race, taking place April 5-9.  A free, family friendly event, this race, with its different boating classes, tests the skills of the more novice to the highly professional.  Meet the captains up close at the VIP kick-off party, and see their high performance crafts on display, along with cars from the Cayman Motor Museum.  On the course, the boats reach top speed right in front of the Royal Palms Grand Cayman Resort, where the event is held.  Enjoy music and concessions on the beach and don't forget your high speed film!

    Nantucket Island Taken Over by Daffodils!

    Something amazing happens on Nantucket Island, MA. this time of year - over 3,000,000 daffodils in many shapes and colors are blooming!  The annual Daffodil Festival (April 27-29) is a true celebration of Spring.  The flowers are everywhere - along the roads, in shop windows and decorating over 100 antique cars in the Annual Antique Car Parade that winds through town and culminates in the Annual Tailgate Picnic, for locals and visitors alike.  Catch the Daffodil show, Children's Parade and Daffodil Dog Parade.

    It's April, which means it's the official start of baseball season!  The historical Wrigley Field baseball stadium (built in 1914), in Chicago, Illiinois, will be opening for its 99th season.  The ballpark even offers behind the scenes tours, even ones specifically for the youngest Cub fans, who get to see inside the team's locker room, among other things.  Grab a hot dog and enjoy America's favorite past time.
