In Chicago, Illinois, join me in singing what should be the Father's Day anthem, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." Forget the tie or cologne. Get Dad a hot dog and a seat in the oldest National League Ballpark, Wrigley Field, with its famous ivy-covered outfield wall and steadfast fans. After waiting 104 years to win the World Series again, maybe this could be the year! For a special treat, surprise your dad with a special Living Legends Tour. Walk through the park hearing firsthand stories from a former great Cubs player and get his autograph, too. Private tours are also available; they include lunch and can even be personalized with a scoreboard message.
Memphis is full of possibilities for making this Father's Day a memorable experience for Dad.
Start the day down by the Mississippi River, with a breakfast at Paulette's. While this Continental-style iconic eatery is known for its elegance, Dad will appreciate the hearty breakfast plates Paulette's serves up.
Now, it's time to head to Beale Street for some live music and great BBQ; try the Band Box at Blues City Cafe for ribs and blues. Finally, end the night on a sweet note at the Cheesecake Corner, served up in huge slabs in the funky South Main historic district.

Fathers tend to enjoy old things, like cars, cigars, and scotch. It doesn't get much older in Tampa than the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City. This institution has been serving authentic Cuban and Spanish food and beverages for over 100 years, making it the oldest continually operating restaurant in Florida.
Dad will love to be treated to a nice wine from their 1,056-bottle selection, followed by an authentic Cuban dish. Try the roast pork or "The Bambino," a 14-ounce NY strip so named because Babe Ruth was a fixture at the restaurant during the 20's and 30's, usually eating two of these steaks. Throw in a hand-rolled cigar and you have a winning Father's Day plan. Just try not to notice if he stares at the flamenco dancers.
