The Travel Channel has recently rated Arizona's Lake Havasu as the world's #5 spring break destination. This comes as no surprise to the college students who have been flocking to the large, sunny lake which defines the Arizona-California border.
Lake Havasu tempts college kids with nonstop events, from dusk 'til dawn. These revelers come to play, and there's no end to the options on how they can spend their recreational hours and budget. Havasu offers boating, para-sailing, jet skis, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, suntanning, and swimming. But of course a destination this popular with spring breakers has also got the cool party down to a science, and the area offers concerts, parties and nightlife galore for the several weeks during which American colleges take their spring break.
This is an easy area to get to: it's located halfway between Phoenix and Las Vegas, and is not too far from L.A. or San Diego either.
