Valentine’s Day conjures images of vases overflowing with roses, candy in heart-shaped boxes, and couples partaking in fine dining. Nashville, Tennessee probably doesn't come to mind. But it's surprisingly well-suited for a romantic getaway.
Fellows wanting to create a memorable night out on the town in Music City could start with a stop in at Emma's for the perfect arrangement of forget-me-nots. Next stop: some of the most sinfully decadent chocolate in town. The Cocoa Tree boasts the tastiest morsels and truffles around, and their cafe is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth any day of the year.
Once you have chocolates and posies in tow, head over to the trendy Gulch district and grab dinner at one of Nashville's most beloved music and dinner clubs, Sambuca.

But don't stop there. Nashville offers couples an extra treat to help them remember a getaway. Sips n' Strokes, a painting class for couples (but also for solo visitors), is just down the road from Sambucca. Sips n’ Strokes welcomes aspiring artists, interested patrons, and people looking for a new adventure to come join one of its classes for a night of creation of their very own work of art, guided by the instruction of one of Sips n' Strokes talented teachers.
This fantastic evening of fun is perfect for any night of the year. (On Valentine's Day it offers a particularly unique way to spend the evening together.) Originally created by artist Wendy Levoy, Sips n’ Strokes asks its guests to bring their own wine or beverage of choice to sip. After relaxing a while, the evening's "artists" choose the colors with which they wish to create their painting. The instructor then leads them on a journey of painting, sketching, and mastering a new artistic craft. Couples then have a travel memory to take home.
This is but one romantic itinerary in a city that offers couples multiple ways to celebrate their connection. Nashville's not just about music.
