Waves wash in while visitors gaze out and there is a spectacular sunset to boot. Thinking of joining the celebration? Here are some great suggestions for what to do at the Pier:
Get Your Trike On
Rent an adult tricycle and take off down the bike paths. Easier to use than a bike, you can go for miles in either direction on safe, well marked bike paths along the ocean. The wind in your hair will clear your mind leaving only a smile on your face.

Have Seafood for Dinner
Your choice of Bubba Gump's or The Lobster, both offer lovely choices on the menu with luscious foods delivered to your table. Other restaurants on the pier offer fine dining choices as well. Go shopping and see what you find. Full of stores and items, there is always something for everyone, even if it is only a muscle shirt!
Enjoy Big Views from the Ferris Wheel
One of only a handful of piers that has a Ferris wheel in the world this attraction offers spectacular views enhanced once you get to the top. And if you find yourself brave, go on the roller coaster to get your scream on.
Be A Kid Again
Remember your Childhood with a ride on the Carousel. Situated at the beginning of the pier, you can go around and around to the delight of the inner child listening to music of years past. A vintage merry go round, where you can relive some wonderful memories.
Visit the Aquarium
Walk through the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium. Home to dozens of animals, it has tide pools where you can learn more about the fragile environment of the ocean.
People Watch
Check out the amazing assortment of folks along the pier. From the fisherman to weight trainers, hundreds of people are coming and going to scope out and get your mind off life.
Watch the Waves
Sit on the sand next to the water, or watch from the grass at the park: it's all good. The time you spend enjoying nature's show is a wonderful way to relax. The lull of the waves will soothe your soul.
