Vanderbilt Beach in North Naples is a hidden gem — Photo courtesy of Uncle CatherineNaples, Florida is a phrase that rolls off the tongues of sun worshippers. Far less known, but utterly beautiful, is Vanderbilt Beach, in north Naples.
Accessed off Vanderbilt Beach Road south of Bonita Beach and north of Naples' famed Gulfshore Drive, this hidden gem is where you'll find the Ritz-Carlton Naples, a testament to the beauty of the location. The sand is soft and pearly white. And because this beach faces west, each and every day concludes with nature's greatest show.
Vanderbilt Beach has a number of upscale resorts sited on it, but there's also a park and plenty of parking at the north end. Take a nice cover-up and some flip-flops if you're on a romantic day at the beach; you may well decide to head to one of the beach's hotel patios for a cocktail or light snack. If you're with the kids, it's an easy beach . . . the county provides restrooms, showers, and bicycle racks. There are also plenty of seashells on the beach. Enjoy!
