Tip number two: The Eagle State is really the Golden State.
Tip number three: The only transportation in or out of Wisteria Lane/Colonial Street is via a very fancy tram, equipped with HD TV.

Not meant to be, especially because the "Desperate Housewives" clan shoot their ABC show on the backlot of Universal Studios.
And anyone who takes the Hollywood theme park's famous studio tour will have the chance to check out the suburban oasis where all their wacky characters live.
There's plenty to see and say regarding the "Desperate Housewives" home thoroughfare, but here's one especially interesting fact about a particular Wisteria Lane house.
The backstory: Remember the creepy Applewhites? Well, their domicile (basement and all) was formerly home to "The Munsters" – a fact that had the house totally redone after Betty and son moved out. Indeed, it seems the spooky edifice was simply too recognizable in its original incarnation.
