Going out for a nice dinner may be a Valentine’s Day tradition, but with more and more big-name restaurants delivering their most beloved dishes anywhere in the country, you may want to consider just staying in. Why deal with crowds or long waits or getting dressed up when you can have the same delicious meal in the comfort of your own home?
Whether you’re craving a fancy steakhouse dinner or a casual pizza – or you just want some truly decadent desserts to share with the person you love – we’ve got you covered. These 10 options are a surefire way to your loved one's heart.
And who knows? Eating lobster and ice cream in your pajamas just may become your treasured new Valentine’s Day tradition.
Katz's Deli Valentine's Day Package
Re-enact the famous scene from “When Harry Met Sally” with this complete package from New York’s iconic Katz’s Deli. You won’t have to do any fake moaning, though, once you take a bite of the signature pastrami that has been called “the most sensual of all the salted, cured meats.”
The Valentine's Day package contains two pounds of this deliciousness plus a half loaf of rye bread, mustard, Russian dressing and both sour and half sour pickles. It also comes with scrumptious chocolate babka and cinnamon rugelach for dessert and a chocolate egg cream scented candle to set the mood. No wonder Harry and Sally ended up falling in love!
John's of Bleecker Street "The Sasso" Classic Cheese New York Style Pizza
If you think pizza isn’t an aphrodisiac, you haven’t tasted John’s. New Yorkers are understandably snobby about their pizza, and they’ve made John’s a legend. Named after founder John Sasso himself, this classic cheese pizza is a purist’s delight, made in the same coal-fired oven with the same original recipe that’s had New Yorkers happily lining up for more than 90 years. Luckily, this pack comes with two pizzas, so you can each have your own rather than test the strength of your love.
BLT Steak Valentine's Day Porterhouse Steak Dinner for 2
This extravagant dinner features an entire meal for two, including a 36-ounce porterhouse steak, truffle butter, creamed spinach and BLT Steak’s signature popovers. You can even add truffle salt, porcini salt or BLT Steak sauce for a full steakhouse experience. It’s a totally-worth-it splurge that brings you the best of BLT Steak and you won’t believe that you can actually eat this way every night, wherever you live, thanks to Goldbelly.

Luke's Lobster Date Night Pack
It may be freezing outside, but this vacation-in-a-pack will immediately transport you to a sunny day on the coast of Maine, as you enjoy the lobster rolls that won the Today Show’s contest and are consistently named “Best.” You get a pound of lobster meat, four New England-style split-top buns, Luke’s Secret Seasoning, two cups of New England clam chowder and two red velvet whoopie pies. It’s such a feast, you may want to continue the celebration through lunch the next day.

Caroline's Cakes 7-Layer Bliss Cake
Chocolate is a Valentine’s Day must, and this decadent cake’s got it in layers. Seven of them, to be exact. Caroline’s Cakes is a South Carolina institution and, although Oprah is partial to their coconut cake and they’re most famous for their caramel cake, I am obsessed with this chocolate beauty.
Aptly named, it is impossible to describe its rich, exquisite taste without closing your eyes and making that purring sound that expresses complete contentment. It comes in a signature red tin and says it can be frozen and refrozen for up to six months.
Milk Bar Better Than Roses
Seriously, who wouldn’t take these melt-in-your-mouth truffles over flowers any day? They’re from Milk Bar, so you know they’re going to be good, but you have no idea they’re going to be this good. The pink and white tin holds half a dozen packs containing three truffles apiece – two Red Velvet, two Birthday, two Chocolate Birthday. They’re bite-sized, so you can pop them in each other’s mouths as a grand romantic gesture. These truffles are what love is all about, although we admit that roses would probably last longer.

Magnolia Bakery "Best of Magnolia Bakery" Date Night Sampler
So many of Magnolia Bakery’s desserts have become icons – they basically started the cupcake craze that took over the country 20 years ago – and they’ve just introduced a chocolate-covered strawberry pudding that rivals their wildly popular banana pudding, which is the stuff of legends.
Filled with layers of chocolate cake, roasted strawberries, chocolate fudge icing and vanilla pudding, the new dessert is rich and creamy and so much more exciting than actual chocolate-covered strawberries. The sampler comes with two cups of pudding and two cupcakes because, as much as you love each other, you will not want to share.

Salt & Straw x Salty Donut
Get ready to spoon. Ice cream is the perfect indulgence, especially when it’s from the innovative and indescribably delicious Salt & Straw, and doubly especially when they collaborate with Salty Donut to add some artisan pastries to the mix. This collection includes five pints, and I’m drooling just saying their names: The Boston Cream Donut, Death by Chocolate Cronut, Horchata Donut, Ham + Jam Kolaches (you have to taste it to believe it) and Wild-berry Slab Pie. None of it’s likely to last long enough to melt, but as you scoop out spoonfuls of yumminess, your hearts surely will.

Dessert Gallery Valentine's Sweet Endings Treat Tray
Raising charcuterie trays to a whole new level, this amazing collection of sweets is a sight to behold. But, trust me, you will not just want to admire it. Dessert Gallery is consistently named as having the best desserts in Houston, and this tray of treats features almost three dozen of their signature pastries, from Brookies to Monkey Bars, from White-Dipped White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies to Oreo® Truffles. You’ll never be able to tell for sure if that happy feeling you’re experiencing is from each other or from a sugar high.

The Cookie Cake Co. Heart Shaped Cookie Cake
Show your valentine just how big your heart is with this eye-popping gift of love that weighs in at almost five pounds! The giant chocolate chip cookie cake is filled with whipped salted vanilla buttercream and topped with heart sprinkles. And, because you can never have too much sweetness, you can always opt for an extra layer of brownie or a core of chocolate ganache or caramel. Whatever way you order it, you will absolutely heart it.
