Monkitail debuted in April of 2017 at the Diplomat Beach Resort and is already one of Hollywood's buzziest new restaurants. Inspired by a Japanese izakaya, the eatery from Chef Michael Schulson features sushi, sake and shareable small plates, including wasabi ceviche, pastrami bao buns, bacon yakisoba and duck shabu shabu.
Best Family Resort: YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colo.

The Hotel Skyler in Syracuse takes environmental stewardship seriously; so seriously that it has achieved LEED Platinum certification. Impressive, given the building was constructed in 1921. A closed-loop geothermal heat pump helps harness heat and cool the hotel more efficiently, and 20 percent of the building materials were sourced locally. Guests driving low-emission cars get special parking places.
Best Historic Hotel: Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Mich.

Guests at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island might find themselves on rocking chairs on the world's longest porch overlooking the Straits of Mackinac.
