Mini Golf Madness

Görlitzer park glow in the dark fun

Situated in the eccentric district of Kreuzberg, in the heart of the famous Görlitzer Park, you'll find the Schwarzlicht (black light) mini golf. A fantastically novel way to spend a rainy afternoon with the family (or a group of friends before hitting the many bars and clubs the district has to offer), Schwarzlicht takes the humble game of minigolf to a whole new level, with 5 separate rooms decorated as various fantasy lands with 3D effects, which glow in the dark. Mini Golf MadnessPhoto courtesy of Schwartzlicht Mini Golf Kreuzberg Facebook

The course is made up of 18 holes, spread over the 5 individually decorated rooms. Starting at the Brandenburg Gate (appropriate...) players are taken on a vivid adventure through futuristic lunar-landscapes, deserts and mystical forests.

Located in the basement of the Park Cafe, you're guaranteed the full effects of the glow in the dark fun at any time of day. Even so, it certainly makes for a great night-time activity and is thusly open until 10pm on weeknights and midnight on the weekends. Evenings on the weekends are very popular and prior bookings are recommended to ensure you get a game in.

For families, it is an ideal rainy day activity that'll give the kids a fun and memorable break from sites and history. Mum and Dad can sit and enjoy 'Kaffee und Kuchen' (coffee and cake) in the cafe while the kids enjoy the glow in the dark novelty below. The cafe also has a little play area for small children, so everyone is catered to.
