Smack dab in the center of venn diagram of dishes that are laughably easy to make, dishes that are way better when freshly made, and dishes that – for some reason – always impress people, lies guacamole.
If you're going to a party and you're in a time pinch, if you really want everyone to scream about how incredibly amazing you are, or if you're just really, really lazy, make guacamole. It will be delicious. It will taste way fresher, spicier and more citrusy than anything that comes out of a plastic tub. And It will take you all of 20 minutes – with the grocery shopping.
The reward is really disproportional to the effort.
