Mix a few ingredients to concoct a tasty Coquito that friends and family will love. In Puerto Rico, this drink is the symbol of Christmas celebrations and many make it in great quantities for bottling and gifting. You can do the same, no matter what time of year it is.
Preparation takes less than 10 minutes. This recipe makes around 36 ounces.
Ingredients:
3 (15 ounce) cans coconut milk or 3 cups fresh coconut milk
1 (14 ounce) can condensed milk
1 cup Puerto Rican white rum (add to taste)
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation:
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and mix for a couple of minutes at high speed. Store in a glass container and refrigerate for about an hour before serving. Serve cold and dust with cinnamon.
