A new program called Chromaroma is making a game out of using London's public transit system...especially when it comes to the Underground.
According to Laughing Squid: "The online game tracks a rider's transit card data to determine where they've been on the transit system. Players collect points for their subway trips, complete missions, and compete against or with other players. The game is meant to encourage people to make new journeys and use various mode of public transit more often."

Interested? Here's a few things you can do with the game, as explained by Mudlark (the creators).
1. Swipe your Oyster card, and earn points. The more you swipe, the more you earn!
2. Collect places, identities, modes and transport, etc.
3. Connect with others who are taking the same journeys as you."Discover and investigate" different locations.
4. Play as a team to conquer London as a whole.
You're even given special "missions" to fulfill in order to earn more points, kinda like the badges you can earn with Foursquare for certain check-ins. Go on a "hipster" mission, or "ghost hunting". They're all organized as campaigns, so time is limited.

For example: The ghost hunting mission (100 points) demands players to visit Becontree Station (which is reportedly haunted by a female ghost) between 11:00 pm and 01:00 am within five days.
What do you think? Are you more likely to use public transit if you know you can have lots of fun doing it in the process?
