About James

James Dziezynski

Colorado author and writer James Dziezynski has been writing about Colorado tourism, recreation and adventure for over 13 years. A former mountaineering guide and author of Best Summit Hikes in Colorado, James has also written for many publications including Outside, Backpacker, 5280, Mountain Biking, Women's Adventure, Boulder Weekly, Elevation Outdoors, Hooked on the Outdoors and several newspapers, blogs and local publications.

James is fond of saying “I've never been bored for one second in Colorado”. Writing about the city nightlife and mountain town culture is equally as fun as exploring the outdoors for James. With Colorado as a home base he has traveled to (and written about) amazing places like Antarctica, Greenland, Patagonia, Argentina, Trinidad and Tobago, Nevis Island, St. Lucia and many more off the beaten path. James lives with his home office manager Xanadu the calico cat and his adventure partner Fremont the border collie.

Ski Loveland

Loveland has won our hearts by being both epic and intimate. The friendly vibe and non-existent lift lines mean you can pick your favorite terrain and hit it all day long.

Ski Winter Park

The two mountains that make up the Winter Park Resort prove that opposites attract. Look to Mary Jane for bump runs galore and Winter Park's namesake mountain for cruisers and big-time features.
